Stefan was considered by Karmine Corp Blue during the offseason
Jungler Stefan "Stefan" Nikolić has reached a verbal agreement with the Italian league champions, DSYRE. After a long offseason with considerations from many teams, Stefan has now found a new home, sources told Sheep Esports on Friday.
Almost in the LFL
One reason that Stefan offseason ended up being so long is because of how Stefan lasted until the final round selection for Karmine Corp Blue's new jungler in the LFL. Had BK ROG Esports not sold jungler Doğukan "113" Balcı to Karmine Corp Blue, Stefan would have joined the LFL Champions instead, sources told Sheep Esports. Additionally, Stefan has also played tryouts for BK ROG Esports before their signing of jungler Enes "Rhilech" Uçan, as reported by Sheep Esports.
Many other teams from Non-Accredited European Regional Leagues have also considered the jungler during the offseason. Indeed, joining a strong roster in those regions can be more attractive for played now thanks to EMEA Masters format changes for this summer. Partizan Esports and Lionscreen are two of the teams that considered the Serbian jungler. In the end, Stefan opted to join DSYRE in the Italian League.
From Twisted Minds to DSYRE
Formerly with Twisted Minds, Stefan was available pretty early during the offseason as his team failed to qualify to EMEA Masters following a fourth place finish. While Twisted Minds didn't have a replacement for Stefan at that time, they have recently acquired Jungler Oskar "Selfmade" Boderek as reported by Sheep Esports.
In DSYRE, Stefan will be replacing jungler Rhilech, following the jungle musical chair minigame during Stefan's offseason. With DSYRE, who are expected to keep most of their roster, Stefan will attempt to help the organization qualify to EMEA Masters once more and possibly make it out of groups. Last Spring, in Group B, DSYRE failed to qualify to playoffs following a final position in third place with a score of 2-4.
