Rigby, who won the LCS trophy with EG in 2022, is making his return as a Head Coach.
Head Coach Han "Rigby" Earl is set to join Dignitas (DIG) in the LTA North, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. With only one player decided, Rigby's first task will be to guide the organization through this offseason as he returns to coaching after completing his military service obligations in Korea.
Rigby also received an offer from Disguised, but chose to join Dignitas instead.
A return to NA
Rigby has accumulated six years of professional coaching experience between 2018 and 2023, working in both the North American (LCS) and Korean (LCK) regions — two of the most competitive leagues in professional League of Legends. In 2019, he served as the assistant coach for Clutch Gaming (which rebranded as Dignitas that same year). During this time, he helped lead the team to the World Championship, where he coached alongside talented Korean players like Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon and Nam "Lira" Tae-yoo.
In 2020, Rigby joined the LCK, taking on a coaching role with Afreeca Freecs. Over the next two years with them, he faced some of the toughest competition in the world, competing against Korea's top players and teams. Rigby spoke highly of this period, describing the Afreeca roster as "the best team and players" he had ever coached. Among the standout players he mentored was Kim "Kiin" Gi-in, one of the LCK’s best toplaners.
In 2022, Rigby returned to North America to join Evil Geniuses as a coach. His first season with the team proved to be an extraordinary success: he won his first-ever regional split with the LCS Spring championship, marking a career-first victory. This achievement also earned him his debut appearance at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) and a second trip to Worlds with an NA team, highlighting his growth and expertise on the international stage.
As of now, Dignitas's roster only consists of Jett Michael "Srtty" Joye in the toplane — the team will have to finalize the rest of its players soon.
