Reigning GLL champion with Team Phantasma, RAMES joins Nigma Galaxy, who were crowned Arabian League champions in the spring
Jungler Mustafa "RAMES" Korkmaz has reached a verbal agreement with Nigma Galaxy in Arabian League, according to sources at Sheep Esports. Hitpoint Masters champion in the spring of 2022 with Entropiq, who moved on to Galakticos in the TCL in 2023, the Turk was playing for Team Phantasma in the Greek League (GLL) at the start of the season. He won another title there in the spring before playing in the EMEA Masters play-in for the second time in his career. However, his hopes of reaching the Main Event were dashed on the Knockout Stage of this play-in by... Nigma Galaxy.
The Emirati team eliminated Team Phantasma and were one of the surprises of this year's EMEA Masters. The club, crowned Arabian League champions in the spring, made it out of the group stage of the Main Event before being knocked out in the first round of the play-offs by Eintracht Spandau - winners of this split's competition. Nigma Galaxy's spring campaign has therefore been very convincing, and symbolises the league's rise to prominence on the ERL circuit.
Three players remain
For this summer, the team is banking partly on continuity and is keeping three of its players, sources at Sheep Esports have confirmed: toplaner Mohamed "Boda" Yahia, midlaner Sven "Dehaste" Vidović and support Mohammad "Klownz" Al Khalailah. It is therefore the team's two South Korean players who are leaving the squad: jungler Byeon "Citrus" Ji-woong, recruited by Aegis as reported by Sheep Esports before the official announcement, and ad carry Jeon "PanG jin" Gwang-jin.
In the adc position, Nigma Galaxy is set to record the arrival of Nguyễn "Slayder" Linh Vương, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. RAMES is therefore the player to complete the Nigma Galaxy roster, with the aim of doing even better than they did in the spring.
