Citrus reached playoffs with his team Nigma Galaxy at EMEA Masters
Jungler Byeon "Citrus" Ji-woong is set to join Aegis in the LFL. According to sources close to Sheep Esports, both parties have already reached a verbal agreement.
A Rise at EMEA Masters
After a few years in the LCK Challengers League, Citrus arrived in the European Regional Leagues this year. He signed with Nigma Galaxy alongside his Korean countrymate AD Carry Jeon "Pangjin" Gwang-jin. Nigma Galaxy play in the Arabian League, where Citrus and his team achieved historical success for the region.
Not only did Nigma Galaxy win the Arabian League, but they also qualified all the way through play-ins to the EMEA Masters Main Stage. There, the Arabian League made history as the region qualified for the playoffs for the first time ever. Nigma Galaxy weren't alone in this feat, as second-seed, Geekay Esports, also made the playoffs. At the time of writing the article, Geekay is set to play the semi-finals of the tournament.
Sadly for Citrus and his team, their run ended in the quarterfinals following defeat against Eintracht Spandau with a score of 1-3.
Next season, Citrus will be playing for Aegis in the LFL. While the French organization finished tenth last split, they are currently making several changes with the hope of taking massive steps forward. They have reached a verbal agreement with a new toplaner, as reported by Sheep Esports yesterday.
