After its disappointing spring split, One More Esports changes their botside
Toplaner Alexandre "Hiro" El Hodebey, jungler Wissam "Potatoporcupine" Meho, midlaner Nikita "Griffon" Gudkov, ad carry Alan "Orion" Roger and support Samet "justcan" Can have reached a verbal agreement with One More Esports in the Arabian League, according to sources at Sheep Esports. The two topside players are therefore finally continuing their journey with the Moroccan team, despite a disappointing spring split for the club. One More Esports finished in 7th place (out of 8) in the Arabian League with a dismal record of four wins and ten losses. The team had experimented with a number of things during the split, and Hiro had even played some games in the jungle and on the midlane.
Immediately after this tumultuous spring split, 1M put together some new rosters - without Hiro or Potatoporcupine - to compete in two side tournaments, including the A1 eSports Legends Cup 2024. Orion was enlisted for this Austrian competition and remains the roster for the Arabian League. The ad carry is a veteran of the League of Legends scene. He began his career in 2015 and therefore experienced the start of the ERLs circuit. Orion has played in the LFL (France), Prime League (Germany), Elite Series (Belgium) and more recently in the LIT (Italy), with aNc Outplayed, during the spring split.
Griffon finally rewarded
Like the three previous players, Griffon is also no stranger to One More Esports. The Russian midlaner took part in the summer split with the team in 2023, when it was still playing in the second division. Griffon even contributed to the team's promotion to the Arabian League, but remained in AL2 for the start of 2024 with Victorious Demons. He too has accumulated a certain amount of experience, as the midlaner has been on the professional circuit since 2019. He spent his early years in his local league, the LCL.
Justcan has less experience than his team-mates but is coming off a successful start to the season. The Turkish support was working for Ruddy Esports in the NLC (Northern League) for his second competitive year and qualified for the EMEA Masters play-in. Justcan didn't make it past the preliminary round but was still able to build up his confidence before joining his second ERL. One More Esports has recruited Emre "Arkhe" Akpınarlı as head coach, according to sources at Sheep Esports. Arkhe had left Papara SuperMassive at the end of February and contributed to the TCL (Turkey) title that SUP finally won a few weeks later. Arkhe will be supported by Aidan as assistant coach and Shoxious, who will retain his position as analyst.
