How to qualify for Challengers EMEA 2025 Split 3
To qualify for Challengers EMEA 2025 Split 3, teams must earn slots through their regional VCL Challengers circuits rather than via circuit points or open invites. Each EMEA sub-region (Spain, France, DACH, Turkey and MENA) qualifies two teams based purely on Split 3 playoff results; the top two finishers automatically advance. The NORTH//EAST region is unique in that it awards four slots, which are earned through a structured progression involving separate North and East regional qualifiers, followed by Lower Swiss, Upper Swiss and an eight-team double-elimination playoff. The top four playoff finishers from the North/East region secure their spots, while all other regions rely exclusively on Stage 2 standings to determine their two representatives.
VCL NORTH//EAST
In the Challengers 2025 Split 3 NORTH//EAST, four teams earned spots in the Challengers EMEA Split 3: DĚTI ULICE, ENTERPRISE ESPORTS, TEAM LIQUID ACADEMY and BOARS GAMING. This was after they navigated the structured format of the Lower and Upper Swiss phases and an eight-team double-elimination playoff. Enterprise Esports won the Upper Final 2–1 against Děti ulice and went on to win the Grand Final and the North/East title. Děti ulice reached the Upper Final, securing second place and qualification. Team Liquid Academy bounced back from an Upper Semifinal defeat to Enterprise Esports with victories against Metizport and Boars Gaming in the lower bracket, thereby qualifying. Boars Gaming reached the Upper Semifinal, but then dropped into the lower bracket. Despite losing to Team Liquid Academy, they secured the final qualifying spot based on their overall tournament performance.
VCL Spain
KOI Fénix and DNSTY will be the two representatives from Challengers Spain after securing their spots in the league’s grand final. Both teams earned their place in this end-of-year tournament through Circuit Points collected throughout the season. Four squads battled it out in this final showdown to crown the overall champion of the year. In the semi-finals, DNSTY swept UCAM Esports with a dominant 3-0 victory, while on the other side of the bracket, KOI’s academy roster crushed Ramboot Club by the same scoreline. The two teams will meet in the final on August 20, but regardless of the result, both have already secured qualification for the Challengers EMEA stage.
VCL France
The French VALORANT League has crowned its two champions: Mandatory and Joblife. MDR pulled off an incredible run through the lower bracket, clawing their way back to the grand final and keeping their hopes alive for a spot in the EMEA Ascension. Having already staged a remarkable comeback against Valiant in the semifinals, the Hammers can still dream of claiming the title. On the other side, JL delivered a flawless performance throughout the Stage 3 playoffs, cruising to the final with two swift 2–0 victories in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
VCL Türkiye
As expected, BBL PCIFIC will be one of the two teams representing the Turkish league, alongside ULF Esports. The latter, who only entered the competition in the previous split, wasted no time in making their presence felt. After qualifying for the EMEA Challengers Stage 2 back then, this new split didn’t prove to be much more difficult for them either. Just like PCIFIC on the other side of the bracket, ULF topped their group and cruised into the playoffs. Both teams had little trouble securing their spots in the final and, with them, their tickets to the European tournament. Their first clash came in the winners’ bracket final, where BBL’s partner team narrowly edged out ULF in an intense, down-to-the-wire series. Dropping to the lower bracket, ULF bounced back immediately, sweeping Eternal Fire 3-0 to punch their ticket to the grand final.
VCL DACH
MOUZ and Eintracht Frankfurt will be the two teams representing the DACH league at the EMEA Challengers 2025 Split 3. With a flawless 3-0 record in the group stage, this split looked like nothing more than a formality for MOUZ. Between the opening stage and the playoff bracket of VCL DACH Stage 3, the German organization dropped only a single map across six matches, showcasing their dominance. On the other side, Eintracht Frankfurt didn’t face much more resistance either. Finishing first in their group as well, they carried that momentum straight into the playoffs. Their only real challenge came against FOKUS, one of the league favorites. But even then, Eintracht managed to take them down twice in a row, securing their spot in the grand final, and ultimately their ticket to the EMEA Challengers.
VCL MENA
Twisted Minds and The Ultimates will be the two representatives of the MENA Challengers heading into the upcoming EMEA event. Absent from the last two editions, both teams still managed to secure strong positions in the overall standings, giving them a real shot at competing in Ascension at the end of the year. To compensate for their absence on the international stage, Riot Games allocated more circuit points through the regional league itself compared to the national competitions. Crowned champions of both Split 1 and Split 2 in MENA, Twisted Minds stand out as the clear favorites going into this tournament. In the grand final of their league, they will once again face The Ultimates, a team they have consistently dominated throughout the season. The Ultimates have had solid performances but have been forced to settle for second place every single time this year, unable so far to break Twisted Minds’ hold over the region.
