Entering the 1st Division
With its roster now locked, ZETA is ready to compete in 2024. Having locked its bot lane earlier this week, the team is now poised to make its entry into the SuperLiga 1st Division. While the roster may not boast many members with experience in major leagues, ZETA's newly assembled team should prove to be an exciting dark horse for the upcoming competition. Having been promoted from the 2nd division, the team is now looking to prove itself among the best teams in the Spanish ERL.
Acquiring both top laner Kristoffer "Westlander" Westlander and coach Hendrik Daniel "Karakal Jr" Méndez Rijpsma from AYM Esports, the team aims to take some consistent talents of the 2nd division and elevate them this year. Together, the two former teammates achieved a 3rd place finish in the summer of 2023. Individually, Westlander also competed for Lille Esport in the LFL 2nd divison, with whom he also ended in 3rd place in the spring split of 2022.
On the other hand, Kristian "Indecision" Tsonev has never competed in the Spanish region prior to this tenure. Having recently played for NORD Esports in the NLC, the player attended the EMEA Masters Play-In in Spring through a 2nd place finish in his regional league. Following in the steps of noteworthy Bulgarian jungler LeBron, he has made a name for himself within the EBL and other regional leagues. Throughout his career, Indecision played for several teams such as: Valiance, Team Phantasma, and Lille Esport.
With four members promoting from the 2nd division and two players joining from minor ERLs, ZETA has crafted an intriguing roster for its inaugural split in the league. While fan expectations for this team may be lower compared to others, the lineup should still prove interesting to watch. Formed with highly skilled talents from lower leagues, the team shows a potential for upsets.
