Vertigo won the EMEA Masters at Spring 2024, with Eintracht Spandau
On Wednesday afternoon, Kaan “Naak Nako” Okan played his final match with Vitality.Bee in the Coupe de France final, which the academy team won against Solary (3-1). Tonight, the identity of the toplaner’s replacement—promoted to the LEC roster— is decided. Maximilian “Vertigo” Rassi has reached a verbal agreement with Vitality.Bee for the upcoming LFL season, according to Sheep Esports sources.
The former Eintracht Spandau player was highly sought after during the offseason. Several teams from France's top division expressed interest in his profile, including Karmine Corp Blue. According to our sources, the Austrian toplaner was the Blue Wall’s second choice. Vertigo also had the opportunity to remain in the Prime League, with newly promoted Kaufland Hangry Knights making him their top priority. However, staying with his previous structure was not an option, as the club announced on Monday that it would be building an “entertainment” team for the next season, rather than a competitive roster.
Third 2025 player
Vertigo had a season of two distinct halves with Eintracht Spandau. The roster, built around experienced players like Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage and Nikolay “Zanzarah” Akatov, won the Prime League in the Spring after an impressive run through the loser’s bracket. Even more impressively, YouTuber Maximilian “HandOfBlood” Knabe's team secured victory in the EMEA Masters Spring 2024, capitalizing on the early exits of LFL teams in the playoffs.
However, the team’s performance faltered in the Summer split. Eintracht Spandau finished only fifth in the Prime League, forcing them to compete in the Last Chance Qualifier for the Summer EMEA Masters. Unfortunately, they found themselves in a “group of death” and were eliminated by Team GO in the group final, missing out on qualification for the Main Event.
Vertigo becomes the third confirmed player for the 2025 iteration of Vitality.Bee. Josip “Jopa” Čančar will continue his journey with the Bees, and Kadir “Fleshy” Kemiksiz will also join the team, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. With these additions, Vitality.Bee hopes to close the gap with the top two teams from the 2024 season, BDS Academy and Karmine Corp Blue. The Hive is still in search of a jungler and midlaner for the upcoming season.
