After a 1-split break, Sinmivak returns.
Top Laner Jakub "Sinmivak" Rucki has reached a verbal agreement with UCAM Esports to rejoin the LVP SuperLiga, according to Sheep Esports sources. Having taken a break after the disbandment of Finetwork KOI, the Polish top laner is now set to return to the Spanish ERL.
Hungry for More
As announced earlier this month, the team recently parted ways with their former top laner, Markus "ACD" Käpp. Per sources, the team had already initially aimed to acquire Sinmivak at the start of the year, before being forced to look for other options once the Polish top laner decided to take a 1-split break. While the team achieved decent results in the Spring Split, ending the group stage with a 10-8 score in 5th place, UCAM is now looking to enact changes to its roster, in hopes of improving its past results.
Through this move, Sinmivak is now set to reunite with three former KOI teammates: jungler Luis "Koldo" Pérez, mid-laner João Miguel "Baca" Novais Bigas, and head coach Gonçalo "Crusher" Pinto Brandão.
In the past, Sinmivak previously competed for a full year with Finetwork KOI, the academic division of Ibai's organization. Following the disbandment of the team, the Polish top laner was left teamless heading into the 2024 season, which led to his decision to take a short hiatus. Before his involvement in the SuperLiga, he was most known for his time with AGO ROGUE, with whom he previously dominated the Ultraliga and attended the EMEA Masters several times.
While the final plans of UCAM Esports for the 2024 Summer Split of the LVP SuperLiga remain in motion, this move should serve as a cornerstone of building a new competitive roster in the league.
