Former Champion Returns
NNO Prime looks to find agreements with its third starting player as it locks in the first piece of its 2024 bot lane. Per sources, the Latvian AD Carry has had a difficult off-season but this move proves to be quite significant for the former LFL player.
Per LEC Wooloo's report, the team has also already found agreements with its new solo laners Daniel "Scarface" Aitbelkacem and Tolga "Serin" Ölmez. With this move, Shiganari is looking to re-unite with top laner Scarface, with whom he previously competed with and won the Prime League in summer of 2022 under the banner of Unicorns of Love.
With two former Prime League champions and one Worlds attendee, NNO looks to redeem its 2023 season in which the organization ended in 10th place two times consecutively. As the off-season goes on, the team founded by ex-pro player and streamer Daniel "Broeki" Broekmann is poised to make a large impact on the league next year.
Striving for Greater Heights
This year, Shiganari competed with AEGIS in the LFL. Despite a strong start in spring with a 2nd place finish in the regular season, the team's fate over the rest of the competitive season would prove to be fraught with difficulties.
Although they ended the Spring Playoffs in 3rd place, the Latvian AD Carry and his team managed to secure a spot at the EMEA Masters in the first half of the year. Together, the team went on to qualify through the tournament's play-in stage and advanced to the main event. Unfortunately, the promising French squad fell short in the group stage and was eliminated with a final score of 2-4.
Heading into the summer split, AEG faced significant struggles, failing to uphold its past results. With a mediocre 5th place in the group stage, the team became the first to be eliminated from the ERL's playoffs, ending its competitive season.
Despite these challenges, Shiganari is not an AD Carry to be underestimated. In 2022, the player was most known for winning the Prime League and reaching the quarterfinals of the EMEA Masters alongside Scarface. Prior to his tenures in ERLs, Shiganari also competed in the now iceboxed LoL Continental League (LCL), playing for several high-profile organizations such as Gambit Esports or RoX, during which he came close to winning the league three times.
