After two years in the LEC and a year-long break, Mersa is making his return to the LFL
Mertai "Mersa" Sari has reached a verbal agreement with Solary in the LFL, sources tell Sheep Esports. He will take over the spot left by Mohamed "Myrtus" Rahli and is the third known player set to play with the blue and yellow in 2025. Mersa already discussed with Solary last offseason, and also between Spring and Summer this year. His arrival finally marks the debut of their story together. The support also gathered interest from Gentle Mates and Vitality.Bee in the LFL.
After taking a break throughout the 2024 season to focus on personal projects and streaming, the support player returns to the LFL. He previously played for Team GO during the Summer 2021 split and then spent two years in the LEC—first with Misfits Gaming in 2022 and later with Team Heretics in 2023. During his time in the LEC, he notably helped Team Heretics secure a 4th place finish in the Summer Split, coming close to qualifying for the Worlds that year.
Solary, once more for the title
With Mersa joining the roster, new head coach Danny "Dan Dan" Le Comte is shaping a star-studded lineup for the future. As previously reported by Sheep Esports, Mersa is expected to play alongside Belan "TakeSet" Ahour in the botlane, with Nicolas "Decay" Gawron remaining in the midlane—both of whom were the first players confirmed to stay with Solary next year. The team’s objective is already clear: to secure their first-ever appearance at the EMEA Masters and possibly even compete for the top spot in the LFL.
