Lot will be replacing Th3Antonio as GIANTX's starting toplaner
Eren "Lot" Yıldız is making his debut in Tier 1 of League of Legends esports. The toplaner has reached a verbal agreement to join GIANTX in the LEC, sources tell Sheep Esports. Despite coming from ERLs, Lot was GIANTX priority all offseason.
While already known in the LFL as one of the strongest toplaners this year, sources have shared an interesting fact with Sheep Esports. One method that contributed heavily to the decision to hire Lot is GIANTX's use of data and modeling to scout players. Per sources, Midlaner Adam "Jackies" Jeřábek was found by the organization this way last year and will remain on the roster next year.
Who is Lot?
The player began his career in 2020 in the Turkey Academy circuit before progressing to the TCL in 2021. In 2023, he joined AEGIS in the LFL, marking his debut in the European Masters. In 2024, he joined Team GO, where he showed the most growth in his career. Competing in one of the most challenging leagues, he managed to secure a 6th place finish in Spring and improved to 4th in Summer. His true breakout moment came in the Summer EMEA Masters, where he delivered a stellar performance, taking his team on a deep run to the semi-finals, narrowly missing out on a finals appearance after a hard-fought series against Vitality.Bee.
GX build a promising roster
GIANTX are in the midst of rebuilding their LEC project, actively seeking new talent to revitalize the roster. The organization is focusing its efforts on constructing a team around their rising star midlaner, Jackies, signaling a fresh direction for the upcoming season. By securing the former Fnatic with botlane, Oh "Noah" Hyeon-taek, and Yoon "Jun" Se-jun, the Spanish team has also pulled off one of the offseason's biggest moves.
The duo was one of the strongest in the EMEA League of Legends elite this year. According to Sheep Stats, Noah ranked as the season's 2nd best AD Carry (68/100), while Jun was rated the 3rd best support (71/100). Theses moves follow the recent news of André “Guilhoto” Pereira Guilhoto's verbal agreement to take on the role of Head Coach, revealed just a few weeks ago by Sheep Esports. With Guilhoto’s experience and leadership, combined with the potentiel of their player, GX are aiming to create a roster capable of competing at the highest level of the LEC.
