BK ROG finalizes their roster with South Korean AD Carry SamD.
AD Carry Lee "Hans SamD" Jae-hoon has reached a verbal agreement with BK ROG Esports to join the LFL, according to Sheep Esports sources. This will be the player's first entry into Europe after previously having competed in the Liga Latinoamérica (LLA), LoL Champions Korea (LCK), and LoL Pro League (LPL).
BKR's Centrepiece?
With this move, BK ROG looks to complete its roster by replacing former AD Carry Trigger, whose future is currently uncertain. Among other options, the team considered Jeong "BAO" Hyeon-woo, Jesper "Jeskla" Klarin Strömberg, and Lee "Envyy" Myeong-joon. Now settled with the former LLA-finalist, the team is readying up for the 2024 season.
As previously reported by Sheep Esports, the team made impressive acquisitions earlier this week by securing jungler Doğukan "113" Balcı and support player Jules "Hantera“ Bourgeois, reuniting the two players who previously competed together under the banner of Karmine Corp. In addition to this, the team has reportedly renewed agreements with its top laner Jeon "Howling" Ho-bin and mid laner Paweł "Czekolad" Szczepanik this month, the latter having a clause allowing him to break the agreement if an LCS or LEC offer arose.
Having most recently competed in the LLA, SamD achieved decent results with Estral Esports in 2023. In spring, the player and his team achieved 3rd place in the tournament before improving their records in the summer split with a 2nd place finish. Prior to his tenure with EST, the player competed for Hanwha Life in the LCK where he would unfortunately finish in 10th place in two consecutive splits.
