LCK returned on April 2 for the launch of its Regular Season. This is the second LCK segment this year after the LCK Cup, which was won by HLE. They also won the First Stand, League of Legends' first international tournament of the year.

For this second segment, teams will compete in a Double Round Robin BO3 format, which will qualify the top six teams for the “Road to MSI”. The ranking will also be used to seed the teams into two groups for the second phase of the regular season. The top five will go into the “Legend” group and the bottom five into the “Rise” group.
