Bvoy to re-sign with Shopify Rebellion
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Ju “Bvoy” Yeong-hoon is set to re-sign with Shopify Rebellion. He is expected to be the only remaining player from the 2024 roster — the team is expected to make changes in every position around him.
A Difficult year
Shopify Rebellion's first year in the LCS was mediocre. While not a breakout season, Shopify held their own against top teams, securing wins against strong teams like Cloud9 and FlyQuest, both highly ranked in the Spring 2024 split. These performances demonstrated Shopify's potential as a competitive roster, though they unfortunately fell short of qualifying for the Spring playoffs. Bvoy stood out for his performance, earning a spot on the 1st All-Pro Team for the spring split.
Shopify Rebellion had a tougher time in the Summer Split. With the introduction of the best-of-three format, they only managed to win their matchup against Dignitas, a team that also struggled severely in summer. Unfortunately, Shopify's season ended without qualifying for playoffs in either split.
With a new roster on the horizon, Shopify and Bvoy are looking ahead to the upcoming season. On paper, this lineup appears stronger than last year's, setting expectations for Shopify to surpass their 2023 performance. It will be exciting to see how the team develops.
