As reported by Sheep Esports, support player Víctor "Oscure" Guzmán Fernández has also reached a verbal agreement with Barça eSports to compete in the LVP Superliga 2024 Summer Season. After a split hiatus, Oscure's return to the Spanish ERL aligns with Barça eSports' strategic efforts to enhance their roster following a challenging Spring Season, where they finished 9th with a 4 - 14 record. This significant addition, coupled with Thayger's recent recruitment, underscores the team's determination to elevate their performance in the upcoming Summer Split.
At just 22 years old, Thayger brings youthful energy and a wealth of potential to the Barça Esports lineup. Hailing from Guasones, where he spent the previous split, Thayger played a pivotal role in guiding his team to a commendable 2nd place finish in the SuperLiga. His impressive performance and strong teamwork skills have undoubtedly caught the attention of Barça Esports' management, leading to his acquisition.
Despite Guasones' desire to retain Thayger's services, the player had a zero buyout clause, facilitating his move to Barça Esports. Additionally, Thayger emerged as the second option for Movistar Riders and garnered interest from several other Superliga teams, highlighting his value and potential within the league.
