Spica will be joining DIG in the LCS
Jungler Mingyi "Spica" Lu will be joining Team Dignitas in the LCS for the upcoming summer split, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. Spica will be making his return to the LCS after a one-split break.
A strong roster
With Spica joining Dignitas, the team has gathered a new mix of beloved LCS players from multiple teams over the offseason. With Eric "Licorice" Ritchie from Golden Guardians, Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen from Cloud9, and now Spica from FlyQuest, this roster looks to be a force to be reckoned with. Unlike other splits, where people might have looked at Dignitas as one of the weakest teams, this roster is looking like a roster that will be able to compete for the championship title on paper. The expectations for this team should be higher than what we are used to for Dignitas.
Spica's return
Spica's last split in the LCS ended poorly, finishing 9th place in the LCS 2023 summer split with what was considered one of the strongest rosters in the league at the time (FlyQuest with Lee "Prince" Chae-hwan and Lee "VicLa" Dae-kwang etc.). Spica is looking for revenge and likely aims to make a strong comeback on the LCS stage.
This opportunity with Dignitas represents a fresh start and a chance to prove himself as one of the top junglers in the league again. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how this revamped Dignitas squad performs in the highly competitive LCS summer split.
Exyu's future
Lawrence "Exyu" Xu put out a tweet revealing that his time with Dignitas has come to an end. Exyu explained that he will be returning to Berkeley in the fall and will see what opportunities he gets next spring. He will most likely be joining an NACL team for the time being.
