In the midst of changes for LTA South, FURIA tried to sign Cariok from paiN Gaming
In the LTA South, FURIA are in the market to complete their 2025 lineup. So far, the Panthers will see midlaner Arthur "Tutsz" Peixoto Machado, botlaner Andrey "Ayu" Saraiva, and support Gabriel "JoJo" Dzelme de Oliveira return to the lineup.
According to Sheep Esports sources, FURIA made an offer for Marcos "CarioK" Santos de Oliveira Junior, jungler for reigning CBLOL champion paiN Gaming. However, paiN has already turned down the offer and negotiations are likely to break down barring any crazy occurrences.
Is CarioK on the market?
As reported by journalist Bruno Andrade and the Mais Esports news portal, paiN Gaming has reportedly allowed CarioK to explore options for the 2025 season ahead of his contract expiring on November 18.
We were able to ascertain exclusively that paiN has always maintained a policy of letting players with expiring contracts check their market value, as well as the possibility of seeing which other teams might be interested.
This doesn't mean that the player is necessarily leaving or that paiN isn't interested in renewing his contract for next year. Along with retaining CarioK, paiN may utilize Choi "Wizer" Eui-seok becoming a LTA South resident to potentially field a roster of three South Korean players in the upcoming season.
As also previously reported, the organization has not yet discussed with the players and coaching staff about the future of the lineup and what changes, if any, will be made.
What does FURIA say?
When asked, FURIA declined to comment on market speculation.
