Eckas returns to the LVP Superliga with Movistar KOI
The second player to join the 2025 roster of Movistar KOI is an old friend of the LVP Superliga and a veteran of the ERLs: Edgaras "Eckas" Strazdauskas. After competing in the Italian League (LIT), German Prime League, and France’s LFL, the 22-year-old jungler is set to return to the LVP, following a brief tenure with Giants, where he won the Iberian Cup in 2020 and continued through Spring 2021. This time, Eckas has reached a verbal agreement to join the academy roster of the Spanish club for the upcoming LVP season, sources revealed to Sheep Esports on Friday.
The player is coming off a challenging year in the LFL, where he played for Solary on a roster expected to compete at the top but ultimately proved to be dysfunctional. His individual performance didn’t stand out, leading to his release after the team placed 7th in both Spring and Summer. Despite this, his goal remains clear: he aims to return to the EMEA Masters—a tournament he has entered three times since 2018, though he has yet to reach the quarterfinals. To accomplish this, he’s returning to the league where he claimed one of his greatest titles in 2021: the Iberian Cup.
Movistar KOI’s roster is nearly complete
With the addition of Eckas, the team’s roster is actually nearly complete. Sheep Esports previously reported a verbal agreement with former LEC ADC William “UNF0RGIVEN” Nieminen, along with a toplaner and an experienced midlaner that shall soon be revealed. With a lineup rich in experience, Movistar KOI is set on returning to form; finishing 6th in Spring and 5th in Summer, along with their subsequent defeat in the EMEA Masters LCQ, is not a result they’re willing to repeat.
