The detection time will be adjusted from 3:30 to 3:00 for the toplane and from 3:00 to 2:15 for the midlane
A few days ago, Riot Games announced the end of lane swaps in patch 25.5 with drastic measures—turrets dealing more damage to champions and minions, players earning only half gold and XP, while defending champions get a 20% bonus in gold and XP to reward standard laning.
Since the patch went live on Wednesday, March 5, solo queue players have encountered some issues in-game, getting penalized in the case of late invades, which wasn't the main goal of the patch. The question of early support roams also remains a point of concern.
Detection time will be reduced
To address some issues, Rioter Phroxzon announced that they are working on a micropatch after noticing it was impacting about 5% of games in solo queue, they believe that these adjustments will help reduce its effect. The detection time will be reduced from 3:30 to 3:00 for the toplane and from 3:30 to 2:15 for the midlane.
He also clarified that the first time the warning appears, no actual penalty is applied, and the warning range is set generously to provide players with a heads-up that an action will occur soon. Furthermore, players will receive a clear distinction between "please leave the area" and "the penalty is being applied" in patch 15.6.
