The League of Legends Championship of The Americas (LTA) has officially announced the launch of Fantasy for their leagues. Fantasy is a manager-style game that allows fans to create teams of LTA pro players each week. The goal is to build a roster to score points based on the real performances of pro players. This type of game already existed in the past for the LEC and LFL, for example, but some disappeared afterwards.

The LTA Fantasy will be free, and users will be able to compete in shared leaderboards of teams, streamers, friends, and more. The LTA Fantasy will be launched at 9 pm (CET) on April 2, as an open beta for the Split 2. New features and updates are expected to come during this beta phase. The app will also gather information on schedules, stats, and more to keep up with the leagues.

How does it work?

Users can sign up on LTAFantasy.com with their Riot ID to create a team with a name, a logo, and a tricode. Fans will have a budget of 50 gold to create their roster each week. They will then earn points from the real performances of the players they picked during the official LTA Matches. They will also be able to pick players from any team in LTA North or South. The values of these players will evolve based on their performances. The same goes for the budget, as it will increase or decrease depending on the value of the players in the roster.

The goal is to score as many points as possible each week to top the leaderboard. Fans will be able to join as many leaderboards as they want. So they can play in the general leaderboard, a friends’ league, a streamers’ league, and more. Players must lock their roster by 6 PM (CET) every Saturday. The scores are calculated on Mondays at 9 am (CET). Changes for the upcoming matches will open every Tuesday at 5 PM (CET). Note that during the beta, users will be able to have only one roster at a time, which will count for all the leagues they are involved in.

Rewards

Leading the standings will come up with rewards. The top 100 point scorers at the end of Split 2 in each conference league will earn a skin. The Top 100 in the North Conference will earn Spirit Blossom Yasuo, while the Top 100 in the South Conference will get Spirit Blossom Yone.*
