After the Jungle / Support duo, T1 have announced that their Botlaner Gumayusi is also re-signing with the team.
One of the most anticipated offseason signings was made official this Friday: Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong will again be T1's Botlaner next year. The organization announced on social media that the player has signed a new contract, for the 2025 season.
Gumayusi will thus enter his fifth full year in the T1 roster during the LCK 2025, having made his debut at the 2020 Regional Finals. Although he faced competition from Teddy for part of the 2021 season, he has since become an indispensable member of the world champions' roster. At the age of 22, he is already part of League of Legends history, with two World Champion titles to his name.
4/5, only missing God of Thunder
Last year, T1 revealed their entire roster re-signing at once through a teaser video. This year, however, good news for T1 fans seems to be trickling in slowly. Over the last few days, T1 officially announced that Ryu "Keria" Min-seok and Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun will remain on the roster, signing two-year contracts to keep them with the team until the end of 2026. The ADC will be the fourth player to keep his place on the roster, since Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is signed until the end of 2025. Given the various announcements already made by T1, we can expect more to come in the next few days.
But for the time being, the Demon Prince Gumayusi will be reunited with his inseparable duo the Legendary Genius Monster Keria on the botlane, the Unkillable Demon King on the midlane and the Owner of the Rift in the jungle. For (Z)OFGK, the objective is simple: to repeat the success of the Worlds, but above all, to finally claim back the LCK title, a goal mentioned by several players in their re-signing messages.
