KT Rolster build up their coaching staff
One of the most buzzed-about announcements in Korea since the start of the offseason, former KT Rolster icon Go “Score” Dong-bin has returned to his beloved team as Head Coach. The team also announced the re-signing of Kim “Museong” Moo-seong, who was already on the coaching staff last year.
Welcome Home
Score is making his return to KT Rolster, an organization he knows very well having played there from 2012 to 2019. He made his debut with KT's second team at the OGN Champions 2013 Winter Qualifiers as an AD Carry at the time. He played in a line-up with well-known names such as Lee “KaKAO” Byung-kwon, Ryu “Ryu” Sang-wook, and Won “Mafa” Sang-yeon. He continued his career with KT.B as ADC for two years, winning several titles: MLG 2013 Winter, Asian Indoor-Martial Arts Games 2013, and IEM Season 8 World Championship.
In early 2015, when LCK teams were required to field only one team, Score role swapped as jungler and secured his place in the KT Rolster roster. He will remain with this team until the end of his playing career in 2019. In addition to numerous 2nd positions, he won an LCK split and a KeSPA Cup.
Following the end of his player career, he returned as a coach with Gen.G in 2022, where he was reunited with Mafa, his former support, and a certain Museong. With Score on the coaching staff, Gen.G won three LCK titles and made two Worlds appearances. The Korean coach left the organization after the team's disappointing result at Worlds 2023.
A familiar face
Score and Museong will join KT Rolster in 2025, after working together at Gen.G in 2022. For his part, the former DRX coach joined KT last year, with whom he twice finished fifth in the two LCK splits. The team came close to qualifying for the Worlds at the Regionals Finals, but lost 3-2 to eventual world champions T1.
Museong will be able to count on his former colleague to improve KT Rolster's results next year. The two coaches can already get down to business, as the organization has announced the signings of Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan, Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong, Seo “deokdam” Dae-gil and Han “Way” Gil for next season. It should also be noted that toplaner Lee “PerfecT” Seung-min is signed until the end of 2026, so he'll likely keep his place on the roster.
