Spanish junglers Razork and Elyoya shine as MVPs of today’s Bo3s
The second day of the third week of the LEC Spring Split has come to an end: Fnatic narrowly edged out Team Vitality in a hard-fought match, and Team BDS took its second loss this week — this time against Movistar KOI. The standings are slowly taking shape, finally starting to reflect pre-split expectatiosn.
Fnatic stumble, but deliver
The first game of the opening series nearly went to Vitality, Vitality’s favor, thanks in part to a strong 2v2 performance from Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság and newly-roleswapped Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer, earning VIT a comfortable lead for most of the game. But everything turned at the 27-minute mark — Fnatic took the win after a series of well-coordinated teamfights, proving their ability to perform in high-pressure moments.
Fnatic was far more controlled in Game 2, essentially deciding the game at 22 minutes with a decisive topside fight led by Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz. His standout performance sealed Vitality’s second loss of the week, earning him the MVP and bringing Fnatic level with Karmine Corp at 3-1.
KOI finds the right tempo
After a rocky start to the split with losses against G2 Esports and KC, KOI have found their rhythm. They took down Team Heretics last week and followed it up today with a dominant win over BDS, who have now suffered back-to-back defeats. The Spanish squad controlled both games from start to finish, winning the nearly every teamfights and securing key objectives thanks to Javier "Elyoya" Prades Batalla’s shrewd pathing and effective coordination.
In Game 1, Alex "Myrwn" Pastor Villarejo shocked the crowd with a toplane Varus to counter Joel "Irrelevant" Miro Scharoll’s Rumble — a decision that paid off. Elyoya’s Ivern was instrumental, involved in all 18 of MKOI’s kills with a perfect 0/2/18 scoreline. The second game was just as clean, with Elyoya once again leading the charge, finishing 8/0/8 on Xin Zhao. With this win, KOI climb to 2-2 in the standings, now tied with Team Heretics just behind the trio of Fnatic, G2, and KC.
Tomorrow marks the final day of Week 3 in the Spring Split, with GIANTX and SK Gaming set to battle at 5 PM CET in a BO3 that could see either team catch up to MKOI and TH in the standings. Meanwhile, Team Heretics will face Karmine Corp in a match that looks favorable for the Blue Wall — though TH could very well have a surprise in store to turn the tide.
