Faker has more skins than almost a third of LoL’s 168 champions
Since the creation of competitive League of Legends and Fnatic’s first Worlds victory, Riot Games has made it a tradition to honor world champions with an in-game skin, usually on their signature champion. While having a skin in your name and representing your team is already a huge privilege, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok is no ordinary player. As the most iconic figure in esports history, he has won Worlds five times—an unmatched record that he could still extend, as he's still competing.
Faker currently has a total of 7 skins in the game, not including the upcoming ones set to be released this year to celebrate T1’s 2024 Worlds victory. Here’s a complete list of the GOAT’s skins.
SKT T1 Zed
SKT T1 Zed is Faker’s very first skin, awarded after SKT T1’s first Worlds victory in 2013. Designed by artist Bo Lu, the skin was inspired by SKT T1’s team colors and branding, featuring a trophy-themed recall animation. It quickly became highly popular among esports fans and Zed players alike. The Korean midlaner was already well known for his Zed, especially thanks to his iconic 1v1 against Ryu "Ryu" Sang-wook. It was released on May 4, 2014.

SKT T1 Ryze
SKT T1 Ryze was created by Victor "3rdColossus" Maury and pays tribute to Faker and SKT T1's second World Championship title in 2015. Ryze is also Faker’s signature champion, the one most closely associated with him. The skin features SKT T1's signature red, white, and gold outfit but was criticized for not having extensive visual changes and was released on August 17, 2016.

SKT T1 Syndra
Released on June 27, 2017, to celebrate Faker's third World Championship title in 2016, the SKT T1 Syndra skin was designed by artist Alvin Lee. It features SKT T1’s colors, and her spheres are redesigned as glowing orbs with the SKT T1 logo. This skin marked the end of Faker's SKT era, before a rebranding and a long dry spell internationally for the world's best player.

Hall of Legends skins
In 2024, Riot Games introduced a brand new concept, the Hall of Legends, to honor the achievements of a player within League of Legends esports. Each year, one player will be inducted into the Hall of Legends, with an event that includes a game pass and purchasable custom cosmetic items. And who better to inaugurate this than the Unkillable Demon King, Faker, who received three skins—two on Ahri and one on LeBlanc. The skins were created by Jennifer Wuestling, Julia Yurtsev, and Terence "Terrylefruit" Cantal.

The skins were released on June 12, 2024, and even though they were very well done and available through the battle pass, the steep price of the Immortalized Legend Ahri skin sparked a lot of criticism against Riot Games. Boycott and ban campaigns were even launched by Solo Queue players against both the skin and the champion.
T1 Orianna
The T1 Orianna skin was released on August 14, 2024, and was created by Alsie Lau, Kelvin Law, and Mo Yan. It marks the grand return of T1 and Faker, celebrating their ultimate victory on the Worlds 2023 stage. To this day, it is the most recent Faker skin released. He also received a Chibi Orianna in TeamFight Tactics.

Following T1's second consecutive victory at the 2024 Worlds, Faker will indeed receive a new skin in his name. The identity of the skin has not been revealed yet, but Faker stated that it will be something that fans will love and choose. Despite having such a large number of skins, Faker is known for rarely using them. The number of times he has equipped skins can be counted on one hand.
