G2 Esports is the only team competing in both LEC Roadtrip events
The League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) is hitting the road and exiting the Riot Games Arena in Berlin for a few days in Spring 2025. Riot Games just announced the LEC Roadtrip, a brand-new initiative bringing LEC matches to local fanbases across Europe. This pilot project will see two special showdays during the 2025 Spring Split, hosted by Movistar KOI in Madrid, Spain, and Karmine Corp in Évry, France.
LEC Roadtrip by Movistar KOI: Madrid turns into a LoL battleground
Kicking off the first LEC Roadtrip event, Movistar KOI will bring the league to the Madrid Arena (12.000 seats) on April 26-27. The weekend will be packed with four best of three, and plenty of special activities yet to be revealed by the club. The confirmed matches for the weekend are:
- Saturday, April 26
- G2 Esports vs. GIANTX
- Movistar KOI vs. Fnatic
- Sunday, April 27
- G2 Esports vs. Fnatic

Ibai Llanos and other high-profile talent will join the event and bring even more light to the show. The in-house language at the event will be Spanish. Stay tuned to Movistar KOI’s channels for ticket details and additional event announcements.
LEC Roadtrip by Karmine Corp: Blue Wall takes over Évry
After Madrid, the LEC Roadtrip heads to Évry in France, for another two-day spectacle hosted by Karmine Corp at Les Arènes (3.000 seats) on May 10-11. The French League of Legends community will have the chance to support their favorite team and reigning Winter Split champions as they face off against some of their rivals—right at home in their own arena.
Match schedule for the event:
- Saturday, May 10
- G2 Esports vs. SK Gaming
- Karmine Corp vs. Team Vitality
- Sunday, May 11
- Team Vitality vs. SK Gaming
- Karmine Corp vs. G2 Esports
With Bo3 matches on both days and a passionate French crowd, the Blue Wall will be in full force. The in-house language at the event will be French. Fans should follow Karmine Corp’s official channels for ticketing details and further announcements on additional activities planned for the weekend.
What does this mean for the LEC?
Riot Games sees the LEC Roadtrip as an opportunity to bring the LEC closer to fans, making in-person League of Legends experiences more accessible beyond the traditional LEC Roadshow at the end of the Summer Split that should be revealed in the coming weeks.
“We’re always determined to give fans the best experience possible, so we’re delighted to introduce the LEC Roadtrip, providing more opportunities to enjoy League of Legends in-person,” said Artem Bykov, LEC Commissioner at Riot Games. “Movistar KOI and Karmine Corp are renowned for having passionate and loud fanbases, and we can’t wait to collaborate with both teams to bring these events to life for their communities.”
For fans unable to attend, don’t worry—the matches will be broadcast on all LEC channels and co-streaming partner platforms. While this is a pilot project for 2025, Riot Games has hinted that future expansions could be on the table depending on its success. Meanwhile, the other LEC matches on these gameweeks will be played as usual at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin.
