BDS Academy won against Vitality Bee in grand final
The EMEA Masters represent the League of Legends competition between the best teams from every national leagues in the region. Also known as "ERLs", each of these leagues send between one and six teams in the tournament, according to their status in the ecosystem (accredited or not). For summer 2024, a new format has been displayed and 60 teams in total participated at the event.
LFL dominance
After the Swiss Stage 16 teams qualified for playoffs and the LFL - the french league - was by far the most represented then with five of its six teams making it through. In addition, these five teams even made it to the last 8 onto the quarter finals. The trophy was already assured to belong to the LFL before the grand final since these final has been played between BDS Academy and Vitality Bee, in front of Munich's crowd. At the end, the Swiss organization won EMEA Masters 2024 Summer edition, defeating the Bees 3-1.
Before that, Los Heretics, Superliga's first seed was the final bastion for the other leagues but they got also obliterated in semi-final by BDSA (0-3). On the other side of the bracket, Macko Esports - LIT's first seed - was the final non LFL team still alive but they got defeated by GO in quarter final (2-3). Geekay Esports, the french league scourge, got upseted by Papara Supermassive (2-3) in the round of 16 as they had won two times against KCB over the year, and once against VITB during the Swiss stage.
